Whiskey for Wildlife

I think the title says enough, but I'll elaborate.

West Sound Wildlife Shelter, located on Bainbridge Island on Washington's Puget Sound, is hosting a Single Malt Scotch tasting on March 5, 2011. There will be nearly 100 whiskies on hand for tasting. Tickets for this fundraiser are $125.

About time someone put the fun back in fundraiser.

There will be some really great whiskies on hand, reports the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal. "The ranges of the industry’s top Scottish distilleries will be there, but also many rare and nearly impossible to get entries, including Talisker 30 Year Old, Laphroaig 30 Year Old, Highland Park 25 Year Old, Macallan 30 Year Old, Caol Ila 25 Year Old, and a member of The Glenlivet Cellar Collection."

Whiskey tasters will be serenaded by a kilt-wearing bagpiper. Party on Wayne.

The owners of Bainbridge Organic Distillers helped put the event together. They're Washington's first organic distillery.
