BMW unveiled a new sub-brand, to separate their electric automobile division, called BMW i.
It seems that this sustainable vehicle division will include more than just electric cars, there will be electric charging stations, payment options, and a venture capital company which will invest in innovative service providers.
The first such investment is My City Way, a company offering a smartphone app as a payment method to charging an electric vehicle. Just one more company trying to push me into a smartphone.
I wonder if anyone will buy it that I got a smartphone as an investment in the green future, rather than to play Angry Birds.
BMW i's slogan is "born electric." They've unveiled a new Web site to market the new brand.
